Counseling
Professional psychological counseling plus counseling carried out by volunteers on gay lifestyles and health
Why advice?
...because there can be situations in life where you don't know what to do. Sometimes a friendly, benevolent, unbiased look from outside can help you discover new solutions. At Mann-O-Meter, competent, trained lay advisors as well as professional psychologists and psychological advisors are available for talks.
Advice - on which topics?
Questions about gay health, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections, for example:
- Transmission routes
- Partners with a different HIV status
- Support in the period after a positive test result
- Staying healthy ("I want to have safe sex, but sometimes it doesn't work...")
Psychosocial counseling, for example:
- Coming out (in the family, among friends, at work…)
- Gay lifestyles
- Difficulties with your partner
- Getting older
- Loneliness
- Addiction
- The question of whether psychotherapy can help you, what therapy methods are available and where you can find therapies that suit you.
